The company is located in the beautiful Wukuishan of Zhoushan that is only 600 meters long from the city central passenger terminal. Coastal city Zhoushan where the company located is a famous Buddhism and tourist resort and having excellent inhabited environment. Zhoushan backs on the rich and fertile Yangtze Chiang Delta which is the most vigorous economic area in China. The city is opposite on the north by Shanghai and on the south by Ningbo that are large and medium cities over the sea. Zhoushan is the main sea portal opening up to the outside world and by which the home and aboard ships always passed, then it has a strong geographical superiority.
The Company was founded in October, 2001. And in September, 2004, the company diverted its strategy to ˇ°focus on ship building and develop ship repairing simultaneouslyˇ± from ˇ°focus on ship repairingˇ± according to the general planning of Zhoushan sea economic development and the strategic decision of Zhejiang Shipping Group, and invested 500 million yuan according to the ˇ°construing and producing at the same timeˇ± and ˇ°commission immediately which is constructedˇ± construction policy. Today the first ship building project has already been constructed and commissioned.
The shipyard region covers about 300 thousand meters area and the coastline is about 3,000 meters long. The company possesses one 80 thousand ton class shipway and one 30 thousand ton class dry dock as well as one 40 thousand ton class and 70 thousand ton class outfitting quay. The company is equipped with work site for subsection manufacture and workshops for steel pretreatment, hull steel fabrication, piping outfitting, machinery fitting and electric fitting and second painting etc. The gross building area reaches to about 50,000 square meters. Also she is equipped with sets of equipments of high standard, big investment and advanced performance such as under water plasma cutting machine, flame cutting machine, 12.5 meters three-core roller, 400-ton frame bending machine, 800-ton oil compressor, 12.5 meters edger and 300-ton portal jib crane etc. The total assets reach to more than one billion yuan. The company has the ability to build various ships below 10 thousands ton class and conform to the home and aboard CS ship construction rules. At the present time, four 30000dwt bulk cargo vessels have been launched smoothly in succession. The 54500dwt cargo vessel which meets the requirements of CSR in China and the 50000dwt open hatch general cargo vessels built for German NSC have also been successively under construction. The 54500dwt cargo vessel is the first ship which meets the requirements of CSR in China even all over the world. It reaches advanced international standards and has great international impact.
